    Description according to manufacturer:
Now, with DX Engineering RTR-1A Receive Antenna Interfaces, you can safely connect dedicated receive antennas to HF transceivers that do not have a separate RX antenna input port. Finally, DX Engineering RTR-1A Receive Antenna Interfaces allow the standard transceiver owner to enjoy the advantages of separate receive antennas! Also, many enthusiasts are providing failsafe protection for the unswitched receive antenna (RX ANT) port on their very expensive transceivers with RTR-1A interfaces--very inexpensive insurance, indeed! Now RoHS compliant, these multi-purpose RTR-1A interfaces feature a patented* receive antenna limiter circuit that passes normal level signals without affecting receiver IMD.

The RTR-1A is a very useful device for many applications, including:
-- Connection of external receiving antennas to transceivers lacking external antenna ports
-- T-R antenna switch for older equipment using separate transmitters and receivers
-- Interfacing antennas to phasing or noise cancelling systems
-- Addition of a Receive Preamplifier
-- Excellent failsafe receiver protection for close-spaced antennas without the performance degradation of typical cheap back-to-back diode circuits.
RTR-1A Receive Antenna Interfaces are receive-transmit relay units that automatically or manually switch the RF output antenna connector on any HF transceiver between a separate receiving antenna system and a standard transmitting antenna. They operate from a "Transmit on Ground" keying line. RTR-1A units feature a unique, failsafe connection method that prevents the hot switching and timing errors that are common on other transmit/receive relays. RTR-1A interfaces switch fast enough -- at about 4 ms -- to allow for QSK CW operation!
In another of many simple applications of the RTR-1A, you may add any receiving accessory to any transceiver. Make use of the incredible DX Engineering NCC-1 Receive Antenna Phasing Unit using the RTR-1A. Or, use it to add the unparalleled DX Engineering RPA-1 Receive Preamplifier to your transceiver, to dramatically improve reception of those really weak signals on the crowded HF bands!
DX Engineering RTR-1A Receive Antenna Interfaces enable operators to enjoy improved reception with any low noise receiving antenna system. This shielded enclosure relay system provides a safe method of connecting a receive antenna, such as a Beverage, Active Receive system, or other receiving accessories to your radio.

Major features that make the DX Engineering RTR-1A Receive Antenna Interfaces your best choice for a receive T/R system device:
-- Attractive and heavy stainless steel enclosure
    -- 200 watt switching capability
    -- Supports CW full break-in
-- Main transmit antenna connector is SO-239 (UHF female)
-- Radio RF connector is SO-239 (UHF female)
-- Receive antenna input and accessory outputs use -- RCA phono and Type F connectors
-- Patented* low-noise receive antenna limiter circuit
    -- Safe switching
--transmit antenna is always connected to transceiver on power-off
-- Hot switching lockout--disables receive antenna during transmit mode
-- Versatile--allows inclusion of RF preamplifiers and other RX accessories
-- Simple 12 Vdc input for battery or emergency operation

An indispensable accessory for the DX enthusiast and useful for any Amateur's shack, DX Engineering RTR-1A Receive Antenna Interfaces can help you expand and improve your station's antenna connection systems.
